Information Provided for your Safety

Did you miss the Group Riding Seminar and Ice Cream Social?

If you really wish you could have attended the Group Riding Seminar but you just couldn't make it that day, contact Gizmo or Maverick and let them know. If there is enough interest, the Safety Committee would be happy to do it again. This is a great opportunity to learn the group protocol and increase your skills in a group.

The Post-Winter Warm-Up

If you haven't been on your bike for the last several months (seems like forever with all our snow) consider getting rid of the mental cobwebs and physical kinks before heading out on that first big ride of the season. A visit to a vacant parking lot is one way to re-acquaint yourself with your bike and review safe riding practices. Then, a short, easy ride over familiar roads can complement the low-key warm-up.

Pothole Watch

Winter's ravages have left some streets pretty torn up, with gaping potholes big enough to swallow the front end of a bike. There's also sand and salt to contend with at this time of year. That stuff can accumulate anywhere, including on the sides of the roads, in turn lanes, and along lane striping. Keep an eye out for those hazards so you don't end your season before it really begins.
